April 18 & 19 — 1:00 – 6:00 PM
81 Prospect Street, Suite 605, Brooklyn NY — DUMBO

Olivier Zitoun is an abstract expressionist painter whose canvases pulse with movement, memory, and the emotional weight of lives lived across continents. A second-generation immigrant — born in Paris to parents who emigrated from Tunisia — his work channels themes of displacement, belonging, and the dialogue between generations into bold, layered compositions.
Olivier grew up watching his father, renowned abstract artist Gilbert Zitoun (1926–2019), disappear into his studio to create a legacy of over 1,000 paintings and drawings. After immigrating to San Francisco in 1996 — making his own journey as an immigrant, like his parents before him — Olivier began painting to stay connected to his roots, drawing deep inspiration from his father’s 1960s works exploring displacement after the family’s migration from Tunisia to France.
Now based in Brooklyn, Olivier creates large-scale works that vibrate with color, texture, and the restless energy of identity in motion.
